All large corporations have an impact on the resources surrounding it. In the past years environmental degradation in industrialized areas has been very evident. This is why Suzlon Foundation, has identified the environment as one of the key areas of activities.

The foundation has been able to improve over 3,000 hectares of barren land through soil and water conservation projects in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and other areas in and around Suzlon’s wind farms. More than 1,50,000 trees have also been planted in the past year. These efforts have helped in harvesting 30,00,000 cubic meters of rain water and also positively impacted the environment of the region.     

Our environmental initiatives also enable us to work towards the 7th Millennium Development Goal - ‘Ensuring Environmental Sustainability’.
