Like other regions of southern India, Karnataka has seen a rapid decrease in its green cover. This has a negative impact on the climate of the region. Suzlon Foundation’s initiatives in the area include a state-of-the-art Bio-Diversity Park. This first-of-its-kind creation will be in Suzlon’s Padubidri SEZ area, and focus on the improvement of flora and fauna of the region. Initiatives in the fields of health, livelihood generation, education and civic amenities have also been taking place. These projects are mainly concentrated in Padubidri and Agli.

Over 5 projects have currently been undertaken or initiated in the state.
