Even in the 21st century, a large percentage of the Indian population lives below the poverty line. It is important that Corporate Social Responsibility efforts address this cause. Through its Responsive Programs, Suzlon Foundation works to enhance livelihoods of disadvantaged communities in and around Suzlon’s wind farms, by encouraging self-help, capacity building and access to micro-credit support.

Our initiatives of empowering Self-Help Groups, supporting local artisans in Bhuj, and skill development of the youth through innovative education techniques are some examples of the projects.

These efforts also enable us to work towards the 1st Millennium Development Goal - ‘Eradicating Extreme Poverty and Hunger’.
