In Maharashtra, areas around Suzlon’s wind farms suffer from acute scarcity of water due to the topographic conditions of the region. Therefore soil and water conservation, and livelihood are the main initiatives in the region. In addition, education is also being focused on in Maharashtra.

Most of the concentration is in the areas of Dhule-Nandurbar, Supa and Sangli. Through government collaborations, partnerships with Civil Society organisations, or through direct implementation by the Foundation, over 20 projects have currently been undertaken or initiated in the state.
