Pondicherry has always been an attraction for tourism as well as heavy industrialization. This has affected the vegetative and forest cover of the union territory. Suzlon Foundation along with Civil Society organisations, have planted several trees in order to restore the green cover.

In addition, the Foundation undertakes education, civic amenities and health projects.
